As evil as slavery was, and I could not wish it ever to be repeated in this nation or any other, it did bring a positive good to this nation—it brought millions of African men and women who would not have otherwise come here to become a part of the fabric of our culture. It would be hard to imagine this nation without the important and meaningful influence of the black race. Had it not been for the slave trade, the black community in this nation would have been microscopic. It is difficult to imagine that very many black Africans would have voluntarily immigrated to the United States. This is not to justify their forced migration but rather to perceive it in a different light. We would not have ever known men like Frederick Douglass or W.E.B DuBois, or Martin Luther King Jr., and they could not have been used by God as they were to strip the anglo race of its arrogance and conceit.

What would happen if television commercials consistently represented women as brainless lunkheads? Feminist groups would be hollerin' like skinned polecats, but that is exactly how men are portrayed in commercials. This post will be kept up to date with examples of this.
- 9/04 - Coca-Cola commercial in which a female surfer (water surfer not web surfer) out surfs a guy leaving him in the dust, ahem...her wake, on every wave. After returning to shore, the surfer guy is given a bottle of Coke. He cannot seem to figure out how to get the thing open, however. Then the surfer girl walks up, takes the bottle, and, with obvious sexual implications, she pops it open on his belt buckle.
